Ippudo has been known to offer very good ramen (by far, the best I’ve tasted so far in the Philippines), that’s why getting to try their limited Ippudo Gyokai Tonkotsu Ramen made me enthusiastic to jump on the invitation.
The Ippudo Gyokai Tonkotsu has Ippudo’s signature blend of tonkotsu and creamy chicken broth with a fusion of flavorful bonito and shoyu, seasoned with yuzukosyo pepper for a slight kick. It is served with thick wavy noodles topped with bamboo shoots, half tamago, nori and slices of chasyu.
If the Ippudo’s signature rich-tasting broth is good enough for you, wait until you get a taste of this Gyokai Tonkotsu Ramen as this gets more interesting. With the hint of smokey taste on this ramen gets more flavor with something like our very own “tinapa” to add richness.
The Ippudo Gyokai Tonkotsu Ramen is offered in a limited time for only Php 490. You can never go wrong on this one, if you want something new for your palate.
As for me, I want more out of the Ippudo experience, so I tried one of the Ippudo Ramen Sidekicks along with my Ippudo Gyokai Tonkotsu Ramen, the Grilled Chicken Bun.
And what better way to cap the dinner than with a fine-tasting dessert. A sweet tooth like me won’t let up an Ippudo Black Sesame Ice Cream to add to an enriching dinner at Ippudo.
Ippudo is located at the 3rd Floor, SM Megamall Mega Fashion Hall Buildiung D, EDSA Cor Julia Vargas Avenue, Mandaluyong, Metro Manila. The store is open during mall hours only.
Let me know your Ippudo experience.
