Blacklist International Survives First Day of MPL-PH S13 Playoffs, Down to Final 4

Blacklist International eliminated both Fnatic Onic Philippines and Minana Evos in two Best of 5 series at SM Southmall.

With the wins, Blacklist International moved on to the final 4 of MPL-PH Season 13. The sound picks and good macro decision-making proved to be too much for the other two teams.

While many may have not counted Blacklist International to be in the Final 4, considering the duo of VeeWise did not play this season, Blacklist have more fuel to motivate further strengthening their position to get to the championship.

Coach Bon Chan’s pick strategy on the two series showed their emphasis on more sustain heroes. Making it harder for opposing teams to immediately burst their composition, and also making the line-up last longer on objective-taking and team fights.

Blacklist International also capitalized on faster-clearing heroes on all lanes, making it harder for opponents of both series to catch up in clashes.

Agent 0, Edward, Blacklist’s EXP laner, chose many of his signature heroes, Benedetta and Paquito on different series and putting up crucial plays to outsmart other teams. Blacklist’s midlaner, Yue was able to use Vexana in multiple games which became very instrumental in both bursting and countering attacks of opponents. Hadji, the team’s roamer, had key plays that turned the tides on key sequences in both series.

Sensui, BLCK’s jungler, has been a consistent team player focused on objective-taking for the team to get ahead. Oheb, gold lane, made crucial kills on multiple games to tilt the gold advantage to Blacklist’s side.

Minana Evos made a point that they deserved being in the playoffs. Having to making the series against Blacklist International to take the series to full five games.

On the other hand, Fnatic Onic Philippines continued their struggles into the playoffs showing lackluster performances during the crucial series. Even if the FNOP were ahead of the regular season’s standing over BLCK, the series proved that BLCK had more strategies up their sleeves over FNOP.

There were high expectations for FNOP at the start of the season with the synergy of King Kong and Kelra on the team.

After winning six (6) of their nine (9) games today, Blacklist International will move to the next round to face the top-seed Falcons AP-Bren in a best-of-five series tomorrow. While Team Liquid Echo Philippines will match against RSG Philippines.
