As job mismatch continues to affect Filipino workers, SEEK, the parent company of Jobstreet and Jobsdb, has launched its latest regional campaign, Find Better Matches, highlighting the importance of connecting jobseekers with opportunities that align with their skills, experience, and career aspirations.
According to the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA), the country’s unemployment rate declined slightly to 5% in March 2026. However, underemployment remains a significant challenge at 12.3%, representing approximately 6.03 million Filipinos who are seeking additional work or longer working hours to better match their financial needs and professional capabilities.
The Find Better Matches campaign aims to address this persistent job mismatch by placing “relevancy” at the center of the job search experience.
Rolled out across six Asian markets—the Philippines, Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Thailand, and Indonesia—the digital campaign is based on the insight that jobseekers are looking not for more job opportunities, but for opportunities that genuinely fit their individual skills and career goals. This message is brought to life through a creative video series featuring unique characters, including a mermaid and the Monkey King, as they each find jobs that match their purpose and preferred work conditions.
The campaign also comes as Jobstreet by SEEK’s latest Happiness Index Report found that 55% of Filipino workersfrequently consider changing careers, underscoring the growing importance of finding roles that provide both professional and personal fulfillment.
Central to the campaign is SEEK’s AI-powered matching technology, which is designed to recommend more relevant job opportunities. Instead of requiring users to browse thousands of job listings, the platform analyzes millions of data points—including a candidate’s skills, work experience, and previous search behavior—to identify roles that are better suited to each individual.
“Relevancy is increasingly what matters most. With this campaign, we’re making it clear that Jobstreet and Jobsdb are the best places to find opportunities that genuinely fit. By combining that with SEEK’s AI-powered matching, we’re showing that no matter how unique you are, you can find your perfect job match on Jobstreet and Jobsdb,” said Maryanne Tsiatsias, Chief Marketing Officer APAC at SEEK.
Jobstreet by SEEK also encourages jobseekers to keep their profiles updated through the Jobstreet app, enabling the platform’s AI to generate more personalized job recommendations and identify roles where they may qualify for the “Strong Applicant” badge.
For employers, SEEK’s AI-powered Talent Search tool helps streamline recruitment by ranking candidates according to suitability scores, allowing companies to identify potential hires more efficiently.
By focusing on relevancy instead of volume, SEEK aims to help Filipinos connect with job opportunities that better match their qualifications, skills, and career aspirations.
