DESIGN & COMFORT
Straight out of the box, the realme Buds T300 (Youth White) looks good. The simplicity of its shape and design would appeal most users. I personally like the shape and dimension of the case. It’s not too big nor too small for my hand, making it easy to hold.
With its polycarbonate body, it keeps the whole package light to carry around (32grams). At just 4.1g (each earbud), I can keep wearing the earbuds for extended hours.
realme Buds T300’s stemmed-body makes it easy to move and hold each earbud.
It also has a darker version in “Stylish Black.”
CONNECTIVITY (iOS and Android)
The realme Buds T300 connect using Bluetooth 5.3. I was able to connect it to all my devices (realme 9 Pro, iPhone XS Max, iPad Mini 5, Macbook Air M1) easily.
SOUND QUALITY
The realme Buds T300 has good sound quality. With its 12.44mm Dynamic Bass Driver, vocals are clearer and richer – best for listening to my audiobooks – feeling like the speaker is just right next to me.
Coupled with its 360-degree spatial audio effect technology and Dolby Atmos support, movies or series are more immersive to watch – giving rich experience of like being at the scene. The spatial audio effect gives more depth to the sound of movies or series I watch.
LATENCY
With realme Buds T300 50ms latency, it is fast enough for the mobile game that I play (Mobile Legends Bang Bang). I did not have any issues at all during the time I was playing (my gripes were always about the matchmaking! LOL ML players surely know this).
BATTERY LIFE
This is one aspect that I am impressed on realme Buds T300.
On paper, realme Buds T300 claims to have longer battery at 40hrs, that is of course, given that the ANC is OFF and at 50% volume level.
In my experience, I recorded more than 6 hours of actual usage on the realme Buds T300 on one full charge on both earbuds. Here’s a breakdown of my activities using a realme 9 Pro and iPad Mini 5 at 50-60% volume with ANC ON.
Device | Time | App |
realme 9 Pro | 3:15pm – 5:45pm | Amazon Prime |
realme 9 Pro | 5:45pm – 7:45pm | Mobile Legends |
iPad mini 5 | 7:50pm – 8:30pm | YouTube Music |
iPad mini 5 | 8:30pm – 9:48pm | Amazon Prime |
A quick 5-minute charge on each earbud gave me a 20% of juice. So in a matter of 20 minutes, I got both the earbuds at 100% to get another wave of usage.
In other instances, when I spent more time on playing Mobile Legends, I had a little below 6hrs of battery time, with the default sound settings. And when I focused more on music (YouTube Music and Spotify) and audiobooks (Audible), I had more than 6hrs 30mins of actual usage with ANC ON at around 50%-60% volume level.
CALL QUALITY
The realme Buds T300 have decent call quality. On the receiving end, I get a a clear reception of the caller’s voice. Indoor calls have better sounding quality than outdoors – on both ends of the call.
IP55 PROTECTION
The realme Buds T300 comes with IP55 protection for its earbuds only. On paper, it says that there is a limited protection against water splash and dust. Though I don’t recommend doing it, I tried having it on while I take a shower. Luckily, my realme Buds T300 are still working.
It is always handy to have some kind of protection against liquid and dust, especially for wearables.
realme LINK (Tap settings, Equalizers)
I have devices that operate on both iOS and Android. It was easier for me knowing that both operating systems have the realme Link app. With this app, I am able to customize the tap settings and equalizers on my realme Buds T300. I changed my tap settings to my own liking.
PRICE
realme Buds T300 is priced at Php 1,599.
CONCLUSION
Given its long battery life, good sound quality (for richer vocals and deep bass), active noise cancellation, low latency, decent call quality, and affordable price (for a branded TWS earbuds), the realme Buds T300 is a great option for an all-around TWS earbuds. Whether as an pair of earbuds to have, or a secondary earbuds on-the-go.
The realme Buds T300 is a great value for money for an all-around earbuds.
