Edward “EDWARD” Dapadap is the latest recipient of the Hall of Legend recognition bestowed by the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League – Philippines (MPL-PH).
The league announced during the regular season that MPL Philippines will commemorate an icon every season as part of the initiatives to honor players and coaches who have made an impact on the league.
“Edward had successfully proven that he possesses the qualities that an MPL legend should have. He showcased strength in every MLBB gameplay, made remarkable contributions in diversifying and rewriting the Philippine meta, and brought legacy with multiple championships that solidified the country’s position in the competitive mobile esports map,” says Keith Medrano, MOONTON Games regional PR manager.
Edward is an MPL-PH Season 7 champion, MPL-PH Season 7 grand final MVP, MPL-PH Season 8 champion, M3 World Champion, MPL-PH Season 10 champion, and MPL-PH Season 10 grand final MVP. He has also inspired thousands of fans by setting an example of how an esports athlete could build his dream home from MLBB earnings.
Last year, MPL Philippines launched the inaugural Hall of Legends wherein ten (10) of the most iconic MPL Philippines personalities that shaped the MLBB esports scene in the Philippines were awarded. The first inductees were Joshua “Ch4knu” Mangilog, Setsuna “Dogie” Ignacio, Karl “KarlTzy” Nepomuceno, Jonmar “OhMyV33NUS” Villaluna, RSG PH coach Brian “Panda” Lim, Angelo “Pheww” Arcangel, Christian “Rafflesia” Fajura, Carlito “Ribo” Jr., Danerie “Wise” Rosario, and Jeniel “YellyHaze” Bata-Anon.
Meanwhile, Manjean “Manjean” Faldas was awarded as the honorary inductee for being the “Face” of MPL Philippines.
