Only on its second year, The Magical Field of Lights in Nuvali is a collection of over 5,000 LED bulbs creatively choreographed to seemingly dance to three newChristmas medleys featuring songs such as Kumukutikutitap, Ang Pasko ay sumapit, and Joy to the World.
This holiday attraction in Laguna is the first of its kind in the country. Introduced last year by Ayala Land’s premier spot in the south of Metro Manila, the Nuvali, the Magical Field of Lights is a collaboration of artistry and technology. On its maiden show last year, this light-and-sound attraction got the attention of both local residents and tourists in the area. Also, it won a Silver Stevie Award for best exhibit display for being the first to mount a light and sound show and installation on an outdoor field.
This year, Nuvali’s Magical Field of Lights started lighting up the Sta. Rosa sky last November 11. It is open for the public to see and hear nightly from 6pm to 10pm at the Nuvali football field (The Fields) right beside Ayala Malls Solenad.
While waiting or in-between shows, you can also take photos at festive Christmas-inspired LED fixtures within the field. One of the main drawers is the 25-meter long light tunnel that never seem to escape the lenses of smartphones and cameras of tourists for the eye-candy attraction worth sharing to online.
Aside from the Magical Field of Lights, there are other things that Nuvali has for guests like the Christmas fair featuring artisanal goods products that showcase traditional Filipino Christmas culinary treats, as well as Christmas bazaars set up at Ayala Malls Solenad.
Also, Nuvali is brining back the Nightsky Cinema to offer a one-of-a-kind experience of watching movies outdoors and under the stars on the following dates (something worth doing with family, friends and special someone):
November 25 – “Cinema Flicks” in partnership with Skycable
December 2 &3 – “A Holiday Weekend” in partnership with Fox Movies
December 16 – “OpenAir Cinema” with Cinema One
Before and after watching the “Magical Field of Lights”, visitors can visit the shops at Solenad or opt for a staycation at the 150-room Seda Hotel Nuvali. Nature lovers and adrenaline junkies can also check out Nuvali’s outdoor adventure playground and team-building facility Camp N to try out the roller-coaster zipline, Asia’s tallest Free Fall, wall climbing, obstacle courses and bike tracks.
The Magical Field of Lights, along with other attractions in Nuvali, are expected to draw at least 900,000 people, more than what was recorded last year.
Nuvali is the largest mixed use development of Ayala Land at 2,290-hectares, that is an integrated eco-community with over 400 shops at Ayala Malls Solenad, 150-room Seda Hotel, office buildings, an events place, QualiMed Hospital, 2 schools and over 6,000 residents in multiple residential developments by Ayala Land Premier, Alveo, Avida, and Amaia.
