“Without knowing it, Dr. Titong, my Lolo, had inked a legacy to what would become known later as Alagang VRP. It is a Filipino family spirit of quality care with hands-on treatment of patients like a father-doctor to his family members. What makes Alagang VRP unique is, it takes its persona from its founder, “Alagang VRP is “Alagang Dr. V.R.P.” fondly said by Veronica Regina Vergel de Dios Garcia, Dr. Victor R. Potenciano, the founding father of Polymedic General Hospital, now VRP Medical Center, was not known for the properties he owned or his father owned, but he was known for the hospital he built. He was driven by his passion for providing quality medical care to the community, and this passion has been carried on by his family for 50 years.
VRP Medical Center, a DOH-certified Mother-Baby Friendly Hospital and first ISO-certified hospital was also once the tallest building and the first landmark in the Mandaluyong area of Highway 54, now EDSA, has become a symbol of excellence in the healthcare industry. The hospital’s commitment to providing quality medical care with a personal touch has earned it the moniker “Alagang VRP.”
