Papa John’s Half and Half Pizza, Pastas and Chicken

The Super Papa is a combination of pepperoni, sausage and ham, seasoned with onions, black olives, mushrooms and green peppers.

While the Chicken BBQ has sliced grilled chicken with bacon bits, onion and barbecue sauce.

Well, the two flavors are really great. Though the Super Papa is good, I find the Chicken BBQ intriguing – is it has that sensational feel on my taste buds – probably caused by the barbecue sauce.

GARLIC DIP

It wouldn’t feel like Papa John’s if not for their dip, which makes every pizza-eating experience even greater. This is THE real deal for me when eating at Papa John’s. It is a must have — whatever pizza flavor it may be. I think, this is THE ACE for the pizza restaurant. That’s why there are barely leftovers on the pizza because even for people who don’t like the bare crusts (on the end part of the pizza), they tend to it at Papa John’s since the dip is spectacular.

PASTAS

I tried three of their pastas: the Mediterranian Seafood Pasta, Diablo Burst and Carbonara.

Carbonara – Php 180

The Papa John’s Carbonara is just fine with me. I mean, I love white-sauce based pastas, though, I did not find the Papa John’s Carbonara that special. I may have high expectations for the food joint probably, that’s why when I tasted their carbonara, I find it good, but not that good, if I where to rate the caliber of their pizza and other food in the menu.

But it is still worth the try. 😉

Mediterranian Seafood Pasta – Php 220

For the Mediterranian Seafood pasta, this one, I find very good. The combination of black olives, shrimp, squid with tomato sauce is flavorful. Among the three pastas I tried that night, this one is top of my list.

Diablo Burst – Php 180

And though the Mediterranian Seafood may be top of my list among the three, Diablo Burst is definitely a very, very close second. The sizzling taste of its sauce with sausage and mushroom, flavored with onion, garlic and red pepper – made my night really hit that spot for a “HOT” meal. 😉 Of course, what makes this dish even better is the parmesan cheese (a personal fave for flavoring pizza and pastas, hehehehe). Definitely A MUST in Papa John’s to try and eat.
